Yeah.
And even before you did the outro as you're getting ready to do it, I was reminded of Jesus' invitation to people in the Bible was so simple and so basic. It was like, come follow me.
He didn't beg, he didn't plead, he didn't try to impress. That was it. It was like, come follow me. And they did.
I'm just thinking like earthly Nikki trying to do do all the things to get people to follow, to like, to subscribe, to do all the things.

And she's like, girl. It's just easy. You're be you're doing too much, as they say nowadays. Like you're doing too much.

I know.
Well yeah, it's just so good. And it makes me think about, you know, you're talking about like, subscribe, and you know, you could talk about that in regard to like tasks that you're trying to create, business, whatever. But also like as someone who wants to share Jesus with other people, it's a good reminder to let the opportunities find you instead of you going out to find opportunities. Like don't be s you can't find really if you're just sitting in your living room all day. But
I have been the person trying to force both business things as well as like, ⁓ this may be the opportunity where I can just like, you know, fix that person. Honestly, that's probably the heart behind it, right? Fix that person by telling about Jesus.
And Nikki, we know we just are still learning that everything is easier with him. We know that.
I know that, yet I overcomplicated something yesterday that someone had to like slap me across the face, like, dude, chill out.
And, you know, it also really compliments the saying of actions speak louder than words. They probably just felt his character coming out of him.

Yes. And they witnessed what he was doing or how he interacted with people and just saw his heart before a a word even came out.
They saw something in him that didn't even need to be said.

And what's crazy is it says the end of one of Maybe it's Math it's probably Matthew. But like there's not enough pages to write all the things that he did.
In such a short period of time.
And as Nikki has said before, I think we've probably covered in a couple episodes, but like how relaxed he was too going about. So there wasn't that sense of urgency that culture creates. There was a trust. And the father, because as we said in the episode, he was with the father in the beginning. So he trusted. He had to grow in obedience, just like we do, which I think is really cool actually. That's that part of humanity. Like that was a part of him.
But like he had this trust.
And we get to learn that from him.
I can like feel the peace coming off of him just thinking about him walking around doing his miracles so casually.

And he had every right to be like to cut it off or to like to get disgruntled and be like, I've had enough. Like I need a break. I'm hungry. Like some of the things that I might do when I get like flustered or overwhelmed. And he was just like, Nope, it's not too much for me. You're not too much. I'm gonna look you in the face. I'm gonna have a conversation. I'm gonna sit down next to you. I'm gonna

And he's such a good reminder of what mattered. You know, we talked about kind of the inheritance we have in heaven. And Jesus wasn't poor. I think a lot of people believe he was poor, but like my understanding is when he was born, the stuff that was brought to him was worth so much money that that carried him through wealth for like ever. ⁓ but he was provided for and had all he needed, yet
Even still the people are what mattered.
And we get so caught up using your example, Nikki, like, okay, subscribe, like, whatever. Like, we so quickly get caught up in the things.
And forget about the one. We might interact with the one just because we happen to be re interacting with them, but in our hearts, are we prioritizing the one? Like j like the example you gave about Jesus.

And it's sometimes sad to see, like on social media or whatever, just because social media's the hot topic. But you see somebody come on there at first and you see their heart for Jesus and then they're serving people and you're just like watching them and you're like cheering, like, that's so cool, like that's awesome. What a word, like what? And then all of a sudden they start like I don't know, I feel like they're nickel and diming you. They're like, see this pen? Like this is the pen that
Make sure right like Jesus and it's just like all these things and you're just like, what happened? How did you go from like serving people, having a heart like Jesus to just like selling any old thing in in the name of the Lord?

So it's funny you're bringing that up because I have been very bothered by people now using social media as a light, but all they're doing is providing entertainment and then product after product after product. And they're c the the only reason why they say they're a light is because they claim they're a Christian. But the value isn't there, and it literally is.
every type of product that has been made and is promoted by all other influencers, they're doing it too. And so I I I was just thinking about this literally this morning, Nikki. and it's like what is actually setting you apart because you actually are looking like everybody else.

Yeah, and don't get it twisted. There are some people that I see on social media and I am interested in what they have to sell because I feel like the heart behind it is different. And I can see it and that, you know, call that discernment, call that the Holy Spirit, which we're gonna be talking about next week. But they it's very distinct when somebody's trying to sell me the Jesus pen where somebody's just

You probably see this too, where one product gets promoted by many people at once, and that's when it's like, okay, this is clearly like a campaign. ⁓ and so the timeliness is not at least for me in a lot of situations, I don't feel like it's spirit led. It's to fulfill a campaign. and that is something for all of us to be mindful of. ⁓ and that goes back to

People first is unfortunately we all need money. But as I said, our father has streets of gold in heaven, and we're not designed to be broke. And so in those seasons where we're tempted to chase or pursue, he'll let us do it. But like we have to come back to what matters. And you might be in a a broke season for lack of a better term. But do not
Pivot your away from the things of God to fulfill that. That's the key. And it's very easy to do.

That's why we have to keep our eyes on Jesus.
to check in and be like, ⁓ Jesus, I am feeling the pinch right now. Like, what is it that you want me to do now?

And then I believe that's a big part of why, you know, scriptures say like he's the way, the truth, the life. He is the bread of life. Like he's all these things that actually sustain us that we're trying to go outward to fulfill, right? and so like Nikki said, when you're like, Jesus, like what do you tell me to do? It's like, well, what's something that he claims to be that I can tap into right now?
Because even Jesus was tempted when he was in the desert and he was starving. That Satan tried to like convince him of like a rock that was like food or something. I can't remember the exact detail. But Jesus used scripture. It was like, No, I know, like the bread of life is not not this rock,
And you got the enemy whispering in you 'cause he knows the weaknesses of humanity. He has seen it time and time again. But Jesus had the scriptures in him. That it is written. And he was sustained.
I'm speaking this with a lot of passion, but your girl's definitely having to walk it out herself and trust. I'm like as I'm sound like I'm on fire, ⁓ it's not easy.

And it's nice to re be reminded of Jesus' humanity because we talked about all these beautiful traits of him, but what actually makes us fall so in love with him is his humanity. It was his ability to feel what we feel, to have that connection.
To know that he was tempted in all the ways that we are. I don't know which scripture that is, but it's in the Bible. ⁓ that's actually what makes him so unique out of every other God that is talked about or savior or whatever, and all the different types of belief systems. On top of the fact that he's still alive today, but he gets us.
