Nikki Humphrey (00:00)
Just went on a ride with the Holy Spirit and the whole Godhead.
Hope Mangiafico (00:06)
You know what's funny about this topic is in we didn't talk about this at all in the episode, but like in the church it's often described as the Trinity. And the word Godhead used to be like almost this is my fault, almost offensive, because I'm like, Godhead, that's such a weird word, but it's actually the word that is used in scripture, but
in the church. It's not the term that is used very often. But what I like about Godhead is in the episode, Nikki, you were talking about how it's a team. And when I hear Godhead, I hear like team God. Do you know what I mean? ⁓ And I like that.
Nikki Humphrey (00:49)
Yes.
Hope Mangiafico (00:52)
And it was just a really good episode for me to also realign myself on the the perspective, not necessarily to get a full understanding, 'cause I don't think that's the point of life.
Nikki Humphrey (01:02)
Yeah, no.
But it really makes me think about relationally, how is my relationship with each part of the Godhead? How is my relationship with God? How do I use utilize it in my life? How's my relationship with Jesus? How am I doing in that aspect of it? How's my relationship with Holy Spirit? What needs to be improved? What's going okay? What's what's might be blocking the Holy Spirit?
Hope Mangiafico (01:12)
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Nikki Humphrey (01:32)
And I think about each day how I access different parts of the Godhead and my day to day activities, but can I do it with even more intentionality now?
Hope Mangiafico (01:46)
Yeah.
Right. Yeah, oddly, I feel like I gained clarity without trying to gain clarity, but it's again, like you said as we opened up this overflow, you're like, we just went on a ride with Holy Spirit. He teaches us all things that we need to know. And so it's through that processing we had in the episode. I'm like, wait, I think I did get some more clarity on what that looks like and how they operate in my life because as you were just speaking, Nikki, I all of sudden felt like
I already knew this, I think, but I don't think I grasped it. Of like Jesus is what empowers me to even be able to combat sin. Like it's it's Holy Spirit that's that gives me the power, but if Jesus didn't go before, I wouldn't be able to overcome shame, for example. You gave shame as an example in the episode. Like so he is part of that, even though I think in the past I would have accredited only to Holy Spirit in a moment, giving me the power.
But I can't forget that because Jesus was sinless and lived a perfect life, I can do it. It's fascinating. I think I gave credit only to one part of the Godhead previously.
Nikki Humphrey (02:53)
It really is so fascinating. Because like it's just like blowing my mind because when I think about I access the Godhead like every day before I go running. So like there's and I've said this in the past, there's been seasons where like running's part of God's plan, and there's seasons where running is not part of God's plan. This happens to be a season where running is part of God's plan.
Hope Mangiafico (02:55)
Ha ha.
Nikki Humphrey (03:18)
But during my runs, whenever I feel afraid, like if I'm running by myself and I feel afraid or nervous or like uncertain, I just yell out Jesus, and I've said that before. I just say Jesus, because he goes before me. So he's clearing the way on my run. But also during my run, I I'm keenly aware of Holy Spirit's discernment, my situational awareness during my run. And I get a lot of downloads.
Hope Mangiafico (03:29)
Yeah.
Nikki Humphrey (03:47)
on my run too. So not only is Holy Spirit helping me stay on Jesus' path because he's cleared the way before me and keeping me safe, but also am I getting downloads for the podcast, other people, myself, things that I need to stop and like type into my phone. But it's it's fascinating when you break it down to just simple everyday things that you do in your life.
Hope Mangiafico (04:06)
It really is. Yeah.
Nikki Humphrey (04:13)
Like they're all showing up.
They all work together. They're all part of the team.
And I've been unknowingly accessing it, which is great. But now it's like leveling up. We've talked about that in other episodes. Like I've unlocked the new level.
Hope Mangiafico (04:26)
Yeah.
Yeah, we did talk what episode was that in the first season? That was so great. It was early. This is kind of early in season two too. We we leveling up. Well, it's so so it also makes me wonder like certain denominations, slash, churches, beliefs, whatever you want to say, that claim Jesus, but they leave out the Holy Spirit. It makes me think like
Nikki Humphrey (04:34)
It was early. It was
Hope Mangiafico (04:53)
How do they feel like they can do anything in life if you miss a part of the Godhead? Like, how do you feel like you can operate? Like when you don't
Nikki Humphrey (05:04)
Well it's that Camp
Jesus analogy that you said.
Hope Mangiafico (05:08)
But it's like and I guess that's the point is you can't operate what they think they are, but you can't you literally can't.
Nikki Humphrey (05:13)
Yes. You probably still have God's grace in some situations, but you're still missing out on the full goodness of God's plan.
Hope Mangiafico (05:16)
Yes, yes, yes.
Right. And that's what yeah, when I say like you can't operate, it's like you can and it's missing I'm there's a term here that's like on the tip of my tongue that I don't actually know, but I feel like it's there.
It's part of God's grace because obviously you're still alive and you're moving. but it does make you wonder like.
what the full picture is, right? So like if you're missing out on the fullness, if it's a a piece of paper, right? And you're missing out on one one part of the Godhead, are you only in the bottom right hand corner of a piece of paper and you're missing all of this? I almost think you're probably missing majority of what's written on a page when you're missing any part of it. You don't even get half of it, I don't think.
Nikki Humphrey (06:10)
Yeah. But God's grace is you don't even realize it.
Hope Mangiafico (06:13)
Correct, exactly.
Yeah. It's just so interesting.
Nikki Humphrey (06:18)
That
is.
I wanna be the whole page. I don't wanna be the dot in the corner.
Hope Mangiafico (06:23)
Yeah, exactly. Yeah, the period at the end of one sentence at the very end of And that's what's like that's one of those things again in the episode I talked about meeting with this guy and we ended up talking about the Godhead at the end of our conversation. He said, he was like, I'm gonna have so many questions when I get to heaven, but I bet that I'm gonna be so like overwhelmed with his glory they won't matter. And I think what you just said about God's grace is part of it, that is the beauty of it is like
I can get caught up in wanting the fullness on the page. But Nikki was saying you just don't even realize where you are. And I think it goes back to heart posture. If you're pursuing everything, then needing to know and having it all figured out what's on the page isn't as important, especially once you get to heaven. But the key is to know that with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, there's an entire package for you.
And why he's such a good father, your package, if you're not opening the whole package and you only get a little corner piece, if you will, of this gift, ⁓ you're still gonna feel loved and blessed.
But Jesus came so we could have access to the whole package, the whole gift.
And when you get to heaven, it makes me wonder, yeah, what will our questions be? We'll probably have questions, but once we're there, you know, will we be so inundated with the Godhead and the beauty and the glory that
I don't know. It's just fascinating thought of that transition. And I think at the end of the day, there's probably scripture to back this up. What will be most important is what was your heart posture to the whole Godhead? Just like what was your heart posture to the truth that is written in the scriptures, Nikki talked about, that intimacy. You have to know the scriptures because that's what's in your heart. He has written things on our heart.
That's all we can actually take into heaven because I believe our heart has this crazy alignment with the spirit, soul, and body aspect. So remember that.
Your heart posture and we say this all the time. Your heart posture is what matters the most when you journey through life.
