Hope Mangiafico (00:00)
Wow, he's so good.
Nikki Humphrey (00:03)
He really is. God, you really showed up today and we just want to thank you for that.
Hope Mangiafico (00:13)
It's incredible. I don't know if you're watching on YouTube, you saw, but Nikki was just sharing, and I meant to hit record beforehand, but she had her tissue, and that just shows, she got a little emotional. Granted, it was her outro that she did separately from us knowing what was gonna happen in the podcast, and we saw the pieces coming together. That is only our father.
orchestrating that. and I don't know, talk about like blooming, letting a listener in on kind of how we work. I think we have in bits and pieces in previous episodes. But like, for full transparency, what happens with Nikki and I prior to an episode is, we'll use this one as an example. Nikki and I meet on Thursday, maybe to talk about editing or whatever, just to catch up as sisters do.
We're about to hang up. And I'm like, hey, you got a topic? No. What about you? Me neither. But you know, we're entering spring. What about like, what would we like to grow or bloom in the spring? Yeah, that sounds good. And it's like, we know, like we could tell if we're on course or off course. So it's not like we're half hearted in it. It's just like, okay, there's an idea stirring. Let's run with it unless we're told otherwise. And that's what happened. That was it.
Then we come together today. We may talk five minutes prior to the recording. And Nikki like shares like, okay, this is what the Lord kind of highlighted to me. I'm like, that's very different than mine is. She's like, but that's okay, it's gonna work. I'm like, you're right. That's how God works. Like we're different, it's gonna be beautiful. And bam, this is the fruit of that. Each of us taking our own time with the Father. That's probably the most important part. Hearing him directly.
and trusting the pace of trust that he's gonna show up in the episode. And that is our secret sauce.
Nikki Humphrey (02:21)
It totally is because we were going totally two different directions. I was like, I got an intro, it's nothing about like what we just discussed that we want to talk about. So hope you got something good. All right, let's roll. And it's not panicking. It's not fearing. It's not doubting what each of us heard from the father. It's working in that pace of trust that he's going to work it all out for good. And this
Hope Mangiafico (02:39)
Bye.
.
Nikki Humphrey (02:50)
podcast was such a good example of it because old Nikki and hope would have freaked out would have been like, okay, well, let's put an outline together. And okay, let's work from that outline then and like, let's just strong arm it to like make it work. And we didn't hope we just
Hope Mangiafico (02:52)
.
Nikki Humphrey (03:10)
worked out the pace of trust right through this whole podcast. We didn't talk about flower analogies and like what all that. ⁓
Hope Mangiafico (03:10)
No,
my gosh, that's why I was like, I was losing it how many times that came back in the episode. No, we didn't have that plan. And I will say just for another layer of transparency.
This was so beautiful, but this is the one area in my life that it seems like I'm a little bit better at the pace of trust than other areas. And I think part of that's that accountability with you, Nikki, that you're at peace, I'm at peace, we're together in partnership of trust. Whereas in other areas where I'm not so great at going at the pace of trust, it's kind of me, myself, and I, which is probably not a good idea.
So I wanted to put that out there because we sound like we've really grown and we have, but there's like multiple parts to the story that have made us stronger in this area. Does that make sense?
Nikki Humphrey (04:11)
makes complete sense because I think you and I both know, like if I drop the ball, Hope's gonna pick it up and run with it. And if she drops the ball, like we're there for each other, just for each other during this podcast. And letting God and Holy Spirit and everybody's like working on the same team. Like you said, Hope, this is great in this area of my life and other areas it needs to be buttoned up a little bit.
Hope Mangiafico (04:19)
Yeah.
Yeah, so.
Yeah, but I'm like, man, let that be an encouragement to make sure in at least one area of your life you have somebody ⁓ for something, because that one area will eventually bleed into other areas because you're being obedient.
Nikki Humphrey (04:52)
That's right.
Hope Mangiafico (04:56)
That really excites me.
Nikki Humphrey (04:59)
Yeah, just like the pollen from a plant, going back can blow and affect a whole different area where it wasn't even planted. Have you ever seen like in your front yard or your backyard, like these plants there that like you didn't plant, but all of sudden they're like blooming up and growing because they blew over. affected somebody else's work that they put in is affecting somebody else.
Hope Mangiafico (05:02)
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
Yes.
You know one of my favorite words to compliment that I as I mentioned the podcast I'm gonna finally like garden but because I've never been a gardener I don't know terminologies and so a couple years ago my chiropractor he's very much like he grows all the things so he'll just hand this stuff and he'll be like this was a volunteer and I thought that was the coolest word and it's kind of like the pollen concept where you didn't plant this thing it just decided hey I'm coming back I'm helping out volunteering and
it kind of complements the pollen thing where it's like this just decided it wanted to come back and help out and volunteer and contribute to society again, right? Without my intention or my forceful hand making it happen. And I hope that as we continue growing as individuals, you and I and the listener, that we can then be volunteers for other people and to help them.
come back time and time again and create this ripple effect. That's either like the pollen transferring into another yard or, you know, like I said, because of our faithfulness to the Father, I pray, or the listener's faithfulness to the Father. Boop, here comes just growth somewhere else. A volunteer. I love the word volunteer. It's like, I'm here, or it's like, what is it that you used to say to the Lord?
my gosh. Send me, but it's not send me. What did you used to say? Yeah, here I am. That's what I was thinking. I was like, what is it? I was thinking of like scripture, Isaiah, I think, but I couldn't think about what it was. Yeah, here I am. I'm going to come. You've made my soil good. Boop. I'm just going to volunteer right up. That's what it was. Here I am. That's what the word volunteer makes me think of. It's Tinder.
Nikki Humphrey (07:03)
Here I am, Lord!
Hope Mangiafico (07:28)
and loving and I just love that so much.
Nikki Humphrey (07:32)
Good.
Hope Mangiafico (07:34)
