Nikki Humphrey (00:00)
I feel a little lighter.
Hope Mangiafico (00:01)
Yeah, I mean, I got while we're talking about, you know, letting our light shine and being light like I was getting my own revelation to ⁓ that was so good of just something I needed. It's really what it boils down to and feeling lighter like you said.
Nikki Humphrey (00:26)
And I was getting this vision during the episode two of little Nikki in just like a flashback, not the whole scene as we've talked about, just a flashback when I was little and I was scared and I was in the corner and I was hiding and I was dark, like the whole image was dark. And then I saw Jesus walking behind me. But like you said, with Moses, like he was not the brightest bright light, but just that calming.
Hope Mangiafico (00:43)
Hmm
Nikki Humphrey (00:55)
light that was enveloping me, that was giving me comfort, that was ministering to me in my time of need. And
Hope Mangiafico (01:02)
Hmm
Nikki Humphrey (01:04)
for me, I felt that many times, you know, from when I was little to even now, that whenever I'm feeling dark or broken, it's always when I using my sacred imagination and Jesus approaching, it's always that soft, peaceful, loving, empathetic light.
Hope Mangiafico (01:26)
I feel that strongly.
Nikki Humphrey (01:28)
And it
radiates off of him to me and helps minister to me right where I need it in that moment.
Hope Mangiafico (01:39)
Yeah, it makes me think of like one of his names is the Prince of Peace. It's like he has a wattage of light for every part of his name.
and every fruit of the spirit.
That's cool.
Nikki Humphrey (02:02)
Yeah, and then I didn't say the scripture during the episode, but I think it's really important. Matthew 5 16. Did you say that one? ⁓ Yes. Yes. And this part was highlighted to me that I had written down. Let your light shine before others that they may see your good deeds and praise your father in heaven. Like you said.
Hope Mangiafico (02:12)
We read the whole 516, yeah.
Nikki Humphrey (02:28)
Yeah, let your light shine before others. And it's not our good deeds, but we don't wanna take credit for it, but we always wanna give the credit to our Father in heaven. For those gifts that he's given us, that we're able to use them to help others.
Hope Mangiafico (02:41)
Right, and that's where...
And I think that's where that whole like we were talking about in the episode at the end, the seven day shine challenge and that servant act because it's highlighting your good deeds, but it's not about you. And it even flips the script in my brain on like what we talked about in the episode too, when I talked about how culture and social media being like, you're too much for that room, leave it. And it's like, that's back to you. This isn't about you.
Nikki Humphrey (02:55)
Yes.
Yeah.
Hope Mangiafico (03:20)
You need to stop and ask, are these the right people? And then get the answer for that. And if the answer is yes, then be like, Lord, what is it that you need to work on in me? What do you need so my deeds come out as glory instead of, I'm not liked.
Nikki Humphrey (03:40)
Right. Yes. And when you walk into a room like that, that's feeling like it's full of a certain persona, right? We've been in those rooms, right? Hope where everybody's like trying to lock in on the same thing and the same mindset and the same goals and the same, we gotta all be the same. We all gotta do it the same. We all gotta just do it. And if we're feeling a little...
uncomfortable or like these aren't my people or I'm feeling like the eyeball out. It's like God, yes, you are the eyeball. God put you in that room for a reason. Like you just said, hope who is it that you want me to seek out Lord and how do you want me to show up and what do they need to hear in this moment? Because it's not about us and our feelings and how we're it's awkward and we're feeling disgruntled or
Hope Mangiafico (04:27)
Right.
Exactly.
Nikki Humphrey (04:35)
angry that we had to show up for this. It's like, no, put that aside. And what am I, am I on mission here? Do you want me to stay? If so, what's my next right step? God.
Hope Mangiafico (04:53)
And I feel like all this really shows the beauty too of having diversity and friends, not necessarily like, you know, believers and non-believers, though the Lord may like lead you to that, because we've talked about community and the importance of having, you know, like-minded thinkers, but having people that are all at that different level of light. And I know I also mentioned that pretty early in the episode, but
As we're speaking about this, I'm still thinking about how even in one-on-one conversations sometimes I would feel too much. But it's because I'm comparing to their light and their wattage and I'm not supposed to be. So again, I was making it about myself. So it can be the big picture of a big room or it can be those one-off conversations where...
The Lord very may have orchestrated this friendship to be complimenting to each other. Those two lights, boom, they spark into a firework, right? But you got to let it. You got to choose and seek him in that journey of that friendship or that relationship or however it unfolds for you.
I feel that we talked about choice for Matthew 5, 14 through 16, where you can be under a bowl or a basket or you can be on a stand. I feel like there's some middle ground using that example I just gave that when two lights come together, we also can control how big the spark is, how big the light does move forward.
and it's directly linked to.
It's got a song kind of worldly, but like our love of ourselves.
as the Father sees us, our identity in Him. And if we go back to the episode where we talked about what the Lord showed me about the beauty of flowers and He's saying, hey, everyone's starting to love those because they're understanding without even realizing it, that that's the beauty I have in them. As we align with that mindset, the spark gets bigger and brighter as we collide with other people.
Nikki Humphrey (07:11)
That's beautiful, yeah.
Hope Mangiafico (07:13)
It is beautiful. That's what I felt like for this episode when we first talked about it, is there, he wanted a highlight of beauty. And an individuality. But that is beautiful.
Nikki Humphrey (07:28)
Yeah. Well, as you're just talking Hope, this is a silly analogy, but I was thinking of a sparkler. So God is the main red hot stick and then you get the sparkles. It's all different. Some are tiny, some are long, some are smaller, some are like, it's all different, but it's all beautiful. And it's all magnifying God and his kingdom.
Hope Mangiafico (07:55)
Yes, so good.
That's cool.
I love all illustrations. The more simple the better.
Nikki Humphrey (08:04)
Yeah, yes.
And some days were brighter and some days were just that little speck that pops off, but we're all united.
Hope Mangiafico (08:10)
Yeah.
That's great, I love it. I can't wait for the seven day shine challenge for people to just download it, know? Literally the link will be just right there to download on your phone or wherever you're watching the podcast. And so we'll add it to this one too. ⁓
Nikki Humphrey (08:23)
Great.
Yes, and it's
just an outline. Say you just like day one and you want to do day one for seven days, go for it. Ask God like, all right, here's a seven day challenge. How do you want me to use this, God? What days, maybe you want to go through it, you know, all seven days. Awesome. Maybe you want to skip around. That's okay too. Nobody's going to implement the same way and that's okay. That's why we want you to share it with us how you are using.
the seven day shine challenge, because we want to encourage you and support you and share your light to the world around us.
Hope Mangiafico (09:01)
Mm
perfectly said.
