Nikki Humphrey: Hi! I'm Nikki.
Hope Mangiafico: Hi, I'm hope, welcome to equipped fellowship where friends become family through Christ. We're 2 Jesus loving friends on a mission to share personal stories, resources, and real talk about our triumphs, why. And breakthroughs and struggles and setbacks. Why? Because we believe you are called to live victoriously, and we're here to equip you with Holy Spirit, led tools and strategies to strengthen your faith, transform your mindset, and walk boldly in God's promises, because here's the truth. You've been given great and precious promises by God. So grab your coffee, lean in, and let's grow together. It's time to step into all that God has for you.
Nikki Humphrey: Oh, as you read that, and you said, Let's grow together. I feel today we are all growing together, not just all 3 of us on the call today. But everybody who watches and listens to this. We are going to grow in exponential ways through the Holy spirit led impartation of this podcast episode today.
Hope Mangiafico: Well, you know what's funny about that, you know, listeners probably noticed I had a little fumble in that intro and I stopped at triumphs. And I was like, Oh, no, there's more. But that just complemented. What you just said is like there's going to be something about triumph thing today of having a breakthrough and that's exciting. It's like you just got that download, too. So that was planned. That was not a mistake. Right.
Nikki Humphrey: Right.
Hope Mangiafico: Cool.
Hope Mangiafico: So, this is my mom. Well, we wanted to ask her a question in just a moment. That leads into our topic today. But after our last episode we were talking, and I was wrestling with how that episode went like just being fully transparent. Nikki and I have bounced back. We've even mentioned before on episodes of just some of those mental battles you have right? Doubts is probably a better term to those those thoughts right. We talked about it being God, the enemy, or ourselves. The last episode which I believe blessed anyone that listened to it. I was wrestling with God. Are you even using me? Is this even good like Nikki? Couldn't believe how much I was wrestling with that, and.
Nikki Humphrey: I was like, girl, it was so good, it was so powerful.
Hope Mangiafico: And what you know, like you got to be armored up. And so, anyways, I wrestled with that the next morning really had to sit down and journal. I journal it on my phone. And so I started asking the Lord's questions. And he told me for this episode that I need to open with this real life story of what happened and testimony that the enemy tried to speak to me, and I was falling for it. Just like Judas. I lost my peace, but I felt the Lord show me it's not that I wasn't equipped with the gospel of peace. Those shoes on my feet. I actually was wearing them. It's just that there's other things you can do to ensure that you're using what you're wearing. That was like, oh, that makes sense which we have talked about briefly on that previous episode. He showed me. It was evident I was wearing the shoes, because I quickly asked God what is going on that showed I was equipped and he was saying, like, when we're aware and asking God questions about what's going on. It shows we are armored up, but, much to my surprise, he told me, clean your ears and install a filter like a hearing aid, so you can stop hearing lies.
Nikki Humphrey: So good.
Hope Mangiafico: I mean, that's how you know what's God? It's concise, which I'm not always the most concise person, and it's like, Do this get healed. Get delivered whatever right? Whatever amazing thing he wants to do in your life. So I had to clean out the junk that had built up in my ear everything the enemy had spoken, or just anything I had listened to that were lies or not from God, had created this like build up, which is a really gross thought, but in reality right? That's just the truth. A gross build up. And it became like the Velcro, which, if you've listened to the previous episode a while back, Nick, you mentioned the Velcro suit, so he gave me that imagery of like, that's what it's like is things are sticking to like Velcro and building up this wall. Basically right this barrier. And he said it kept building upon itself so his voice could not come in because he's the still small voice. The enemy comes around like a roaring lion, which means he is loud, which I think is very fascinating. Lions don't roar when they're trying to be sneaky. And so the enemy is not, is not like God. He's the still small voice that's who God is.
And God was saying, it's like there wasn't enough space for his voice to come through, and once I cleaned it out I put on a hearing aid that was calibrated to the frequency of his voice, and I set the settings to not align with other frequencies. I don't know much about hearing aids, but from the one that I do know you can be that specific to your settings and that's what he had me to do. This was me following his instructions and using what Nikki and I have mentioned many times my sacred imagination, which was so cool because Nikki and I had already wanted to do a topic on that, and that led perfectly to today's topic.
Nikki Humphrey: It sure does.
Hope Mangiafico: And I had instant peace after that, and I could feel it so. It was so exciting. I can't wait to dive into this conversation today, and is one reason we have my mom here. So I think. She is such a testament of how God works, because this is a beautiful reflection of redemption and of healing and watching him move in ways that you didn't know were possible. And we're sitting here in a different environment because we're at the beach for a celebration of life for my father, who passed away in January, and his birthday is tomorrow. And so we're doing this as a family, and my mom is here. It's not her husband. And I think that's beautiful, because it shows how deep the love of God can go, how redemptive he is, and what I love most about, there's so many levels to that. But the reason it was so special to have her here today is one of the major breakthroughs her and I walked through together, was doing prayer time, where I walked her through a sacred imagination thing, where she would picture things to help free her of hurt from childhood, right understanding the Father's love. Nikki and I talked about a couple episodes ago about saying Jesus, I love you and what you hear back. She's done that. And she instantly heard the same thing Nikki did when I said it on that that one podcast episode, she heard it right away and she's done this multiple times, and you probably don't know this, but we all see what God's done in your life and where he's working, and I do believe your obedience, and opening up your heart to being able to use your mind to picture his love, and to allow him in to heal has been a big part of that transformation, and I just wanted to ask you if you're comfortable sharing of like what has that ability to picture him and his character in your mind, and what he wants to do. Like. How has that helped
Hope Mangiafico: for me? It made me feel I always knew he's real, but for me I feel so much closer to him when I picture it happening. You know I feel his love without seeing it. But when I close my mind and imagine him putting his arms around me and him hugging me and calling me his own daughter, it's so real it matches my emotions and it frees me of forgiving cause I have a lot to be forgiven for.
Nikki Humphrey: We all do.
Hope Mangiafico: I know Darwin, and that's a work in progress. Baby steps which we've talked about before as well. Step, step, step. But it's helpful. Yeah. Yeah. And we've all seen that fruit in your life. And it's it's a beautiful thing. And so really wanted to to hear how it's truly impacted you so that is why she's here she gets to enjoy. She is a big fan of the show, not just because this is my mom, but holistically so grateful. God put this on Nikki in my heart to start, because we know he's moving through this and so she's been. She's been affected, and it's awesome. Yes, I have, in a great way.
Nikki Humphrey: 1st of all, I want to thank you for sharing that testimony because you are a walking, talking testimony of your freedom. That word that you use your freedom, and because you are gaining that freedom, that relationship with God, it is going to free so many people around you. It's going to impact so many people around you, whether you know it or not. You are going to be that change maker in people's life where they weren't walking with God before. But now, because of you and your testimony, and you not being ashamed of sharing your story, they're going to walk out the same path you did.
Hope Mangiafico: Awesome, awesome. It's never too late. I think I was afraid I was too late for me. I'm 58, and I thought, it's not too late.
Hope Mangiafico: never, never
Hope Mangiafico: his timing. Yeah, we can talk about that all day. Maybe we'll do an episode about waiting patiently for his timing.
Nikki Humphrey: That would be a great one.
Hope Mangiafico: I'm excited for diving in deeper in this conversation.
Nikki Humphrey: Yes, I wanted to start with gratitude today. I am just so grateful that all 3 of us are here today together. And so before we dive in to today's episode, we got a little preview of it.
Let's just all take a deep breath and just pause for a moment of gratitude just being together, being able to have this discussion being able to share our stories, our our triumphs. What we've battled and be here to discuss this amazing topic of sacred imagination. God thank you for the breath in our lungs today. Thank you for the way you show up. When we draw near to you. We invite you into this space. We welcome your presence. Holy Spirit have your way with this time today, because in today's episode it is all about engaging the powerful God-given gift of your sacred imagination, and how it can deepen your prayer, life, and help you enter the presence of God with awe. Intimacy, and trust, and the sacred imagination is just picturing yourself in God's presence and spill, just like I picture in Hope's episode about. She had this box of yuck, and she just spilled it out in one of our previous episodes like she didn't even bother to go. She just spilled it out, and it's a time where you can just talk things through with your father, or just sit in his presence and let him impartate, impart on you anything that he wants to that day. Sometimes it's a sound, sometimes it's a sight, sometimes it's a word, sometimes it's a feeling, sometimes it's all above, sometimes it's something totally different and radical that you did not even expect. So we're going to go through these steps and like Hope said in a previous episode, These aren't rigid steps. These aren't meant to follow lockstep and barrel every time that you want to use your sacred imagination. But it is a tool to help you access your sacred imagination. If this is new to you. But the one thing that should never change is before we step into God's presence. We have to welcome him in. We have to honor him. We have to show him gratitude. It's about entering into that relationship with God. It could be like hope said in the previous episode, a Bible verse. It could be a praise and worship song that when you hear it you are just filled with the presence of the Holy spirit. It could just be pouring out your heart to God, thanking Him for how good He is, and what He means to you. But you always have to enter your sacred imagination with that praise welcoming in his presence, because the Bible says before Jesus prayed, He always aligned with the Father, will your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Matthew. 6, 10. Slowing down before we speak to God and enter His presence, helps to surrender our plans and ask God, what do you want to do through this moment, because we've talked in episodes in the past that sometimes we get so caught up in our own thoughts that we block out what God wants to speak to us, so if we just surrender our will, surrender our plans, surrender what we think, the outcome of our time with Jesus is going to be. It allows God to clearly speak to you and relay the message that He has for you.
Hope Mangiafico: That's so true and so good. And it makes me think about all the experiences we've all have had that have ever walked through this sacred imagination concept that you have, that I know. That sounds almost overwhelming, probably to like. Push your thoughts out because a lot of us are used to having constant stuff going on up here, but hopefully, a word of encouragement of his love for you as well, is that he knows exactly, and Nikki already hit on this a little bit, but just to emphasize it more, he knows exactly what you need in that moment to hear, and let that be an encouragement of like. Even if you're wrestling, of quieting down,
do the deep breath like we do with the gratitude. And you're like, I trust you, Lord, to bring forth what is for me right now. And I think as soon I don't know, I feel like as soon as you exhale there's gonna be something. Yeah, let that just lead you right in after you've worshipped, or whatever it may be, because I mean, I'd be lying if I didn't say that wasn't something I've dealt with many times trying to enter into this.
Nikki Humphrey: Right. And when you enter into with that praise and worship, or the gratitude, or just all those spots you're not thinking about yourself, you're automatically starting to push some of those egocentric thoughts, those worries, those burdens that you had in your heart aside because we're focusing. We're starting to align our focus with God the Father.
Hope Mangiafico: Yeah, so, so, so good. You know, Nikki in previous. So we'll use that that gate and the gate illustration that you were just talking about me dumping my box. I believe that was Episode 4 that was in, girl. Get up, I believe, if you haven't listened to that so so good. You liked that one, too. I really did. You were loving it in the car. But I there's so many different ways, and something that I think is really cool is in opportunities of practicing like here on this. Podcast since we've already done, a few is having that guidance to begin with and let. This is actually a true story about my own husband. We've mentioned many times. Nikki and I met, and then we were in this boot camp, and there were a lot of these kind of sacred imagination type things where someone was leading you through. My husband really struggles with the sacred imagination. Some people really do when they're very logical and analytical. It's I'm a creative. You're a creative. You're a creative. So being creative, we kind of have that ability to move and flow. Sean doesn't, doesn't thrive with that, but something that yeah, this is coming to me. I think this will help some people that are stuck at their trying. Something that helped him is one vision that was given to him one time, and he could picture himself to a point with Jesus on a park bench. That's where he went every time because that's as far as he could go. But you know, if he went back there, maybe something else will happen, and that allows that expansion to happen, or he had one other opportunity. After that I think it was after. I may be just misquoting. But all these pieces are true. He also had one time where he could picture him. This is so tender for a male like slow dancing with Jesus
Hope Mangiafico: that is so sweet he could go back there.
Hope Mangiafico: And so, even if you don't have it time and time again, if there is one time that Nikki shared. And because you're so good at walking people through that hold on to that. Go back to that every time, and you can build upon that.
Nikki Humphrey: Yeah.
Hope Mangiafico: Don't. You don't have to have something different every time, because he will always meet you where you're at.
Nikki Humphrey: That's right, that's right. It is so different every time.
Like I said in the previous episode for, girl, get up. I walked you through kind of what I do for my sacred imagination. Time. So I'm sitting in my Jesus chair. This is my Jesus chair. This is my Jesus corner. I like to go in the same spot. You don't have to but I like to picture myself walking on a path to go meet Jesus, and I do that, because, as I'm walking on the path, I'm giving my gratitude, or I'm listening to the worship music, or I'm going over a Bible verse in my head that's come up, or I open up my Bible app, and I'm searching for something. And as I'm walking on the path I love that because I'm different ages on my path. Sometimes I'm little girl Nikki, so maybe I need to heal a wound from my childhood, or sometimes I'm teenage Nikki or young adult Nikki or middle aged Nikki, you know, whatever it is I like to picture where I'm at and I like walking to the gate, because for me. I like to picture Jesus standing outside the gate, you know, when you're going to visit a friend or a relative, and you're just waiting for them by the front door, and when they come out like their greeting, and that helps to set my mind to those thoughts, and I can get immediately into my sacred imagination. So you can do something totally different. You can picture any atmosphere, any scenario that works for you to get into that space like Hope said for Sean it was that park bench, and then once I go through the gate. I just open up my sacred imagination for what I see, hear, feel sometimes it's a smell. Sometimes I'm sobbing, sometimes I'm worshiping whatever it is, so I can receive what my father wants to give me that day, and once I enter in that garden space like I said, it's different every single time.
Hope Mangiafico: Yeah, I love that. Yeah, that's so good. And for me, yeah, that's so. That's so good. I love that. I love the path, because there's so much beauty in the concept of a path when you're thinking about a relationship. And just in Scripture, and it's really kind of like. We quoted Proverbs 3, 4, through 6, I believe I always slightly misquote that. But where you're walking leaning not on your own understanding, but walking on his path that he's making straight for you like you're living that out, and I love that so much for me. I've always been a question asker and I've gotten better with time, because now they're directed to him instead of me going to research, and in different seasons of life it looks different. But I guess I wanted to mention this because something that was very unexpected, and I love the concept of being unexpected, so that you don't put them in a box is. When I was working full time I would wake up, but I didn't have enough time to really do a quiet time. But I had a season where my eyes were really puffy, and I would need to put in like a cold ice mask on for like 5 min, and it became part of my routine that I would shower.I would go, get my ice mask, and I would lay on the closet floor with that on, and I would I could have no vision like nothing would be interfering in the natural right, any light or anything like that, and be like, what do you want to show me today or if I was feeling overwhelmed about something. Lord, I'm and this is just me talking to him. Kind of that open door like you're talking about. I'm overwhelmed today because this is going to happen. What? What is this? Why am I overwhelmed? And he would. I would start getting just words from him, and then it's kind of like the testimony I shared in the beginning. He would tell me something to do go, hope, go jump in a pool of living water where nothing can stick on you, you know. Dump out this box, this book bag you like the book bag. Analogy. Drop the book bag that you're wearing. It would build up with the way my brain still works after all these years of wanting to ask questions. But he doesn't hate questions. He loves them because it's still an open door, and the reason I share that is because they were 5 min I would set a timer on my phone, lay down, have it on and it felt like it was 45 min. Because that's how cool God is is because he's outside of time. It it could be 2 HI mean whatever works, but the amount of work he can do in 5 min.
That was such a fruitful season of my life and I felt so good every morning getting up doing that, and then going to my day, which was never, never, never easy.
Nikki Humphrey: Is so good about dating that it doesn't take it doesn't have to take a lot of time.
Sometimes I'm in church, and the praise and worship at our church is like off the hook. It is amazing. And sometimes I'm just standing up, praising, closing my eyes, focusing on Jesus, and sometimes I'm in it, and I see a vision like I told Hope about the vision that I saw
the other day at church when we were. We're in the messy middle, and it was just like her and I. And we're just crawling through all this yuck towards this beam of of light that was pulling us out of the yuck. But it can be, and it seems like hours like this. Vision seemed like it was going step by step, and it it might have been a verse or 2 of the song.
Hope Mangiafico: Yeah.
Nikki Humphrey: But it's wild when you're in that sacred imagination, space! How God uses those moments, those minutes, the however long you're with him to produce fruit for your life.
Hope Mangiafico: Yeah, it's awesome. So so good. And I did get a little snippet as you're talking about that I had one little note that I took because I was. I wanted to dive a little bit deeper into this, just because it's something we're so familiar with. But I was like sacred imagination. Lord, sacred imagination. So one. What is imagination? And 2. If there's a sacred, what does that mean? Right? Why is it important? Right, Nikki? All the stuff that you just shared? Why is it important that we open up with worship, or praise, or thanksgiving? Why is it important? And so God showed me that in Jeremiah Jeremiah uses the term evil imagination 6 times and in other places in the Bible it's about evil and I sat with the Lord about this topic, and this is what I felt like, he told me. Our imaginations are the closest thing we have to the spiritual realm
which, just like our imagination. It's also a realm that we cannot see. It's why we feel tangible differences and see the fruit when we use our imagination just like Nick. We've all shared that to some degree, feeling that freedom that love it reaches our bodies, its physical reaction to it. And so that's why we see the fruit when we use our imagination both in good and bad ways. It's why, in the Scriptures the evil imaginations were what led many people away from God. So wouldn't this mean we could use it to lead us to Him? It's us letting our guards down and letting him into the natural what we call everything that's in front of our eyes, which guarantees some sort of change in our entire being. And I loved that because I again, I'm a question asker. That's what this just proved. And I love that he helped Link. Why? Why is it so impactful? And it's because it's the closest thing we have to that spiritual realm where he lives.
Nikki Humphrey: Yes.
Hope Mangiafico: That's why he gave us an imagination. It's why, also, when the when people in the Bible fell away with an evil imagination, it's why the enemy will come after our imaginations, which we translate a lot of times to our thoughts like it's so good, and it can be so redemptive for your life when you just open up to it.
Nikki Humphrey: And I looked up a Scripture, too, because I'm like curious like, where can we find this in the Bible? You know, we want to do things that align with God, Holy Spirit, Jesus.
Biblical truth. And so Romans 12, 2 says, do not conform with the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Your imagination, when surrender to the Spirit, is part of that renewing of your mind in going in with the gratitude, the praise and worship, the surrender. We're allowing God that renewal, access to us in our mind. And then Ephesians 6, 18, says, and pray in the spirit on all occasions, with all kinds of prayers and requests. This means creative, quiet, listening, expressive prayers. Those are all welcome in the kingdom of God.
Hope Mangiafico: Ew, that was good. Yeah, yes, it was. That was really good. Oh, I love that. Yeah, there's just so much richness there. And I feel like it's I. I almost wish I had one testimony, because it'd be easy to share it. But you know, being a journaler which you can relate to like. I feel like so much of my journal entries are are exactly this.
Nikki Humphrey: Yes, there are so many times where I journal extensively after my sacred imagination time with God, even if it happens at church or in the car, or in the shower, wherever that's happening.I can remember it almost frame by frame. And that's how I know it's from God, too, because it I could lose something so quick nowadays up here. But when I'm in that, say, it's just like a favorite movie coming back, and I can feel it the God's presence again, and the washing and the renewal, or when I talked about in an episode, was an early one, where I was on the ground, and I pictured Jesus over me hugging. I mean I can feel it right now. It it doesn't leave you. You can't shake it off.
Hope Mangiafico: That's the truth.
Nikki Humphrey: So remember, I'm going to share the story. Hope of one of my sacred imagination. A couple years ago I was walking down the path, and I'm I'm little girl, Nikki, like like 5 or 6 years old on the path, and I'm just skipping, and there's beautiful flowers around me. I have a flower crown on with the ribbons, and it's flowing, and I'm going down, and Jesus is at the gate like waiting for me, and I usually just go right in with Jesus, and we're waiting for somebody. We're just. Jesus and I are waiting on the path, and who comes skipping down is little hope.
Hope Mangiafico: Oh.
Nikki Humphrey: Really so choked out because I can feel it. I was so excited.
Hope Mangiafico: Oh!
Nikki Humphrey: And Jesus was there, and he's like this is your sister. We've been waiting for her.
Hope Mangiafico: That's beautiful!
Nikki Humphrey: And even though we have an age gap now in the spirit, we were the exact same age, and we locked hand, and we just skipped in the gate together.
Hope Mangiafico: Beautiful, that's beautiful. And I wasn't even part of that like, actually, that experience. I didn't get that download directly it was you, and you gave it to me, and I instantly could see the whole thing like I was there. Me, too, and I'm not even. Oh, yeah. And I've never forgotten that. I mean, that was many, many years ago, and as soon as you're like I'm sharing the story, I know exactly what it was, and it's not like. We never talk like we share so much together, but when it is that deep because he lives in our core, it is he has written the walls on our heart, which means we know everything about him. You just tap right into it. It's crazy. It's like you talked about forgetting things in your memory. I am shocked at things that come out of my mouth, of things that I don't know, and it's like I had studied it forever, you know, and and all of that, and it's like God. It's like you can tell. It's written on your heart what he shows you, what he tells you, what he reveals to you because we couldn't do this ourselves.
Nikki Humphrey: And so much healing can take place during the sacred imagination. When we did the 60 day challenge Hope and I, we were every day in our sacred imagination.
Nikki Humphrey: And you all, if I didn't know how much trauma my 1st grade teacher.
Hope Mangiafico: And cause poor little Mickey.
Nikki Humphrey: But I would go in the that sacred imagination, and day after day after day after day, I was healing different parts of that 1st grade experience with my father, and I was like you talk about 1st grade again, and I was.I know.
Hope Mangiafico: Wow!
Nikki Humphrey: I know.
Hope Mangiafico: You know. So I'm glad you just shared that story, because that makes me want to answer a question that you've asked before. Actually, I think. It's not a bad thing. It's
you were talking about healing in that 1st grade teacher in that trauma. The idea of visiting something scares a lot of people when it was traumatic. And you remember asking me about that? Yeah. And it's 1 of those things that when we were walking, my mom and I were walking through it. How do I say this? I've been so far removed of being afraid of going to a place with him, because I know how loving he is and how gentle he is, and when you recall a memory, it's not like you're there. And let's say because again, we can use our imagination. I know we can picture anything, but let's say you were abused. You don't have to go back in that and get beat up again and and relive those details. He's so loving he will not make you be re-traumatized. The purpose of him bringing it up is that you're ready for it, and then he rewrites a new ending.
Nikki Humphrey: I have a testimony for that, for one of my clients must have been a year or 2 ago we were walking through the sacred imagination, doing all the steps, walking down the path, opening the gate because she had this block that she could not get over, and she had the cycle repeating in her life, and we asked the Father to reveal the root of that trauma exposure that caused this cycle in her life through all these years. Immediately she was transported to middle school into a bully situation, and this the whole thing downloaded to her. But she was protected in this image like she wasn't re-traumatized during the image, but it gave us the information to help her heal from that bullying situation that trauma wound, and to break all those chains of bondage that the enemy used from her life. From that experience in middle school to now. She's a woman in her sixties.
Hope Mangiafico: And as you share that, I had someone recently tell me a story, and I won't give the details because it's a sad story. But what is important about the story is as traumatic as it was for the person that he, very similar to what you did with your client. He walked through with Jesus with her to go back to that place. It's like she couldn't even see what she had witnessed with her eyes in the natural, all that was highlighted to her was where Jesus was during that time and instantly she was healed from the sleepless nights of recalling that horrific imagery of what she saw. It was Jesus was here. He was loving me. He was protecting me like you said she was protected, revisiting that memory. He completely changes the perspective or doesn't give you all the details. I had someone else just a couple weeks ago. Tell me that. When it was time she had, she revisited a time when she was really young, and the Lord showed that she had been sexually abused. He didn't give her any details other than it was men and women. And that's all you need to know. So we can move forward. And I think that's really important to emphasize about his character. You now have multiple stories of. He gives you what you need. Highlights. He highlights him.
Nikki Humphrey: Hmm.
Hope Mangiafico: Because that's what matters. At the end of the day.
Nikki Humphrey: Because that's where we constantly need to focus the enemy tries to distract us in many ways. In our last podcast episode, I talked about how I was done with the quip fellowship, and I was just like and then we recorded, and I thought was fire. And then Hope boom is attacked right after thinking that what are we doing is God even using me. And so that's why our focus needs to stay on God. Jesus, Holy Spirit, aligning with the Biblical truth laid out for us in Scripture, because it's easy to get distracted, and when we get distracted our hearing aid becomes out of tune. The frequency is jacked up, and everything is collecting all those whispers that the enemy is doing is collecting and taking root.
Hope Mangiafico: Right. Oh, that's so true and so good. And you know I told you about that visual as soon as it happened, basically, and something that I have to. Now part of my responsibility is remembering to kind of like check on that hearing, hearing aid right like he told me to put that in, which means it's still there and I need to check on it. Like, is it fine tuned exactly like you said, because based off what you've shared about memory, and it's the truth. And what I shared about even my husband and building from that place of where you were in God, being able to use like a park bench and building. From that point he'll build. From this, hearing aid.
Nikki Humphrey: Yeah.
Hope Mangiafico: It's not a 1 and done.
Nikki Humphrey: Right.
Hope Mangiafico: When it crosses mine. Hey? God! How's that? How's that? Hearing aid going? He'll give me something. He went. Well, that one's fine. But let's go work on this, you know, like, just ask. And we've talked about asking him questions. And maybe that's why I'm so passionate about it is I finally have him directed in the right place to the right source.
Nikki Humphrey: And tuning to your frequency on your hearing aid. Just think about
any musician. They have to constantly tune their instrument. So it's at the right frequency, the right tone, the right pitch. However, I'm not a musician, so I might be misaligning these terms, but they have to constantly check their instrument to make sure that it is tuned just right.
Hope Mangiafico: That's so good. And all of this being a build up on or from, I guess you could say, like the armor of God.
Nikki Humphrey: We talk.
Hope Mangiafico: Upgrading our armor and having that, and just think about anything he shows you just being another another piece of it. And we talked about always checking in that, you know, checking on the armor. Is it on kind of even like asking about the condition? Even? You know, like, are you wearing your shoes? Because this happened right after that last episode? I'm like God, because you literally had just wrapped up the previous episode on oh, man, how are my shoes of the gospel of peace? And so I'm like, well, where my pieces gone? Where are my shoes? It's like they're there but you're not using them. And so it's that that fine tuning it's checking in and being like, Okay, well, they're there. So why are they not working.
Nikki Humphrey: That's right. And my, I couldn't find my shoes a piece because they were robbed from me. You know, it's so funny how God uses the similar thing, the similar analogy, the shoes of peace, hope, hatters on, wasn't utilizing them correctly. I let others take my rob me of my shoes of peace.
Hope Mangiafico: Yeah.
Nikki Humphrey: But right now both of our shoes a piece, are on.
Hope Mangiafico: Absolutely. I can honestly, as soon as you said that it's like I instantly could feel like a tightening like almost like they were snugging up on my foot.
Nikki Humphrey: Yeah.
Hope Mangiafico: And to build upon all of this, Nikki and I. You probably noticed when we converse, we do. We jump around and kind of like, oh, man, I'm picturing this. But I'm saying this, and we're kind of like in multiple places at once, in one degree, and let that be excitement for you that like as you start communing with people that are like minded. And they're they're challenging you to grow and to
Hope Mangiafico: prosper in your relationship with the father, because that's where everything starts. You'll have this beautiful ability to be in communication, and someone plants the seed of something like talking about. We got our shoes on, and I'm all of a sudden my sacred imagination kicks in, and I literally feel like a strap was like pulled on. But I'm still conversing. Yeah, I'm like, man, okay, I feel secure. Let's go. Let's go jump.
Nikki Humphrey: So good.I love that.
Hope Mangiafico: So so blessed! Hmm! The only thing that came up for me was to wrap up with with one that I instantly got as a as a thing to lead people. I guess. I guess what I'm sensing is to close with a sacred imagination exercise that will. Yeah, okay, that's it. That will allow each listener to build upon, because we talked about the building upon. And I think even you and I, Nikki, on the 60 day challenge it started. We didn't thrive with it, but it started with audio recordings. Do you remember that we're like? I mean, it was helpful, because now we understand. But let's let's go ahead and like and do our thing. But we need. We did need that to start with.
Nikki Humphrey: We did, and at 1st we thought we needed it through the whole thing. We're just like we only have audio recordings for this many days, however, it was, and we were panicked. And then we started with the audio recordings. And we're like can we move like Hope said, move past the recording, and then we it was a bumpy start releasing it on our own.
Hope Mangiafico: That's why it's 16.
Nikki Humphrey: Today. That's why I said 6 days.
Hope Mangiafico: That's so. I remember panicking because I'm such a like. I need a checklist to make sure I do everything right. And I was like. Oh, no, I can still like feel how I've grown a lot since then in that regard. But yeah. So I think because of everything we've shared. I think that's what the invitation is is to build and then leave this open. I have the exact imagery of how to keep the door open so they can dive right back in. No, that sound good.
Nikki Humphrey: Yeah, I love that.
Hope Mangiafico: All right, I'll open up in prayer. So, Lord, thank you so much for today. Just for the beauty of who you are and giving us a sacred imagination, Lord, for fine-tuning, renewing like in Romans our mind. So we can do this
Hope Mangiafico: for you to do what you want to do so grateful for that Lord, and for this opportunity to step step through the gate. We're just, I'm going to say we're instantly through the gate. Because you've got courts, and we enter in with praise and thanksgiving. And as we enter through your gate there are these rocks on the ground, and they're like more like stepping stones and we take a step on the 1st stepping stone, and it says, I'm a child of God and then we take our next step onto the next one, and it says, Beloved and again we step on the next stepping stone. Wow! This one just shook me. It just says, chosen.
Nikki Humphrey: Hmm.
Hope Mangiafico: That one wrecked me that's wild. And now the next step faithful!
And the next step hmm. He wants you to write the next step. Hmm! And as you're you're at least I know I'm seeing myself paused. My right foot is on this blank one and I look up, and there are a lot more stepping stones and it's down. It's very similar to the path that Nikki talks about but there are stepping stones leading you to a very special sacred place for you and Jesus. But he wants you to take each step and say, What about this one? What does it say and you can do that now and I would encourage you to do that even afterwards. And and and do not rush.
I don't know how many you're seeing, and every time you revisit this you may only see 2. You may see 25, you may see just one,but to take your time and focus on the next step and it makes me think about Moses and exodus with the burning bush. And God said, This is holy ground where you're stepping is holy ground right now, which means all that you've already heard that these said it's truth, and it's purifying you, forming you into his righteousness, and he wants to emphasize that though the previous stones or one word they can be anything, they can be pictures, sentences, he can divert your attention to Himself. Jesus can embrace you,but it's your responsibility with your father to take that next step on that next stepping stone and see what he has to say to you. Thank you, Lord, for guiding us for building us. Oh, you're the Jesus, you're the great cornerstone. Oh, okay, you're leading us to your cornerstone. Hmm, thank you for this opportunity for this worship service that we just had. For for the time of this recording, may you be glorified in all these things in Jesus, name. Amen. Amen. Perfect.
Nikki Humphrey: Awesome hope. Thank you.
Hope Mangiafico: Yeah, thank you. Thank you. Lord.
Nikki Humphrey: End it there, so people can go off. Journal, keep, keep that imagination going, and see where it leads them.
Hope Mangiafico: Yeah, absolutely. And I was gonna ask, say something. I have my, I have my mind races, and I just want people out there to know that when you use your imagination it slows it down just on him. It's helped me a lot that's very important for people, a lot of people I know have that problem like me. It really helped a lot to get close to him that way and shut everybody else off all those that's.
Nikki Humphrey: That's so good.
Hope Mangiafico: And that's him. Yes, he's the only one that gave me peace, and we don't say this to be judgmental or anything towards you, but it's the truth. She is overwhelmed in here. Yes, and then he only it's a miracle, only one. He can do that. Yes, and that's why Nikki and I have shared that. We believe in healing, that he can heal all things. But it starts. I'd say this, every episode, spirit, soul, and body. It's true. Right.
Hope Mangiafico: Starts with the Spirit of God. Yes.
Nikki Humphrey: Yeah, and letting him in and letting him work inside of us.
Hope Mangiafico: Yes, trust you have to trust him. Yes, thank you for letting me share it. Angel, thank you both.
Nikki Humphrey: And if anybody wants to share their testimony from this episode, or what they saw, or what they visioned, please let us know we're happy to celebrate with you, to pray with you and just to to be here for you always. So until next time. That'll do it.
Hope Mangiafico: That'll do it. Take care, bye.
